This is a rare treat for lovers of our bush land, native trees and native plant ecology as well as being a text book about Sheoak timber for fuel, art, craft and its role in the landscape today as well as in the past.  Sheoaks are unobtrusive.  They have been ignored by most of us but these are tough trees with very dense timber that thrive under harsh environmental conditions from the centre of Australia to the exposed coastal dunes.
