This revised edition includes 16 new locations and rail trails in Victoria where birding is likely to be good.  There are more than 50 places to visit with detailed maps and commentary on the walks and the birds.

The aim of the book is to provide different avenues to enjoy the bush. It is intended both for those interested in birds and where to find them, as well as providing a guide to a variety of walks across Victoria for anyone who wants to get out and about in the bush.

Walks vary in difficulty and length, so there should be something for everyone. And for the more adventurous, at most locations suggestions are offered for extensions to the main walk plus options to ride a bike into good birding areas further afield. The book is spiral bound to facilitate having maps open in the field without breaking the book spine.

Those with mobility issues who still want to get out and about are also catered for with a guide to suitable walks in the Accessibility section at the end of the book. Several of the walks are suitable for mobility scooters and children in strollers – rail trails are often easy both because of the good surface as well as the gentle slopes.
